What is public interest litigation in Nepal?

Writ & Administrative Law

Public interest litigation, or PIL, allows constitutional or legal questions involving genuine public rights or concerns to be brought before the court even where the petitioner is not asserting only a private personal injury.

The Supreme Court's extraordinary jurisdiction expressly includes constitutional or legal questions involved in disputes of public interest or concern.
