Can writ jurisdiction be used to reargue disputed facts?

Generally, writ jurisdiction is not designed as a full substitute for an ordinary evidentiary trial or statutory appeal.

Where the dispute requires extensive fact-finding, witness credibility assessment or detailed evidence, the court can regard the ordinary forum as more appropriate unless a distinct constitutional or jurisdictional issue justifies intervention.
