There is no single guaranteed duration for every divorce case. Timing depends on whether the case is mutual or contested, service of process, evidence, property issues, children and court workload.
Sections 97–98 require the court to attempt reconciliation. The Code further provides that if reconciliation is not achieved and the spouses do not agree to reconcile, the court must grant divorce after one year from the filing of the application in the circumstance described by section 98.
Public content should not advertise a fixed number of days for all divorces.
