Can visitation be restricted for the child's safety?

Family Law

Yes. Section 117 allows the relevant District Court to restrict meetings or stays with a parent where there is a possibility that such contact would be contrary to the minor's interests.

Evidence of violence, abuse, serious neglect or another safety concern can therefore be highly relevant.
