Can a divorce settlement be made in writing?

Family Law

Yes. Section 102 recognizes a written agreement between husband and wife concerning the wife's partition share or expenses at divorce, subject to the rule that an agreement cannot be made contrary to the interests of a minor.

A settlement should clearly address property, payments, custody, child expenses and implementation where relevant.
