Seek medical care where needed, preserve photographs and medical records, identify witnesses and report the incident promptly. Section 191 of the Penal Code prohibits assault and defines it to include causing physical pain and certain forms of incapacity.
The Code also provides compensation for harm or loss caused by the offence.
