What damages can be claimed for breach of contract?

Corporate Legal Consultancy

The affected party may claim compensation for actual loss caused by breach and, where applicable, losses that were reasonably contemplated when the contract was made. Indirect or purely speculative losses are generally not recoverable under the Civil Code.

Where the contract fixes an amount for breach, reasonable compensation may be awarded up to the agreed limit.
