Can cooperative directors be personally responsible for misuse of funds?

Cooperative Law

Yes. The cooperative structure does not protect directors, managers or executives from personal consequences for their own unlawful acts.

Section 124 provides criminal penalties for offences under section 122, and where an offence is committed through an organization, responsible chief executives, officers or persons acting in an executive capacity can face statutory liability.
